Bar Council of India Removes 107 Fake Advocates from  Delhi Roll to Uphold Legal Integrity The Bar Council of India (BCI) has taken decisive action in a sweeping initiative aimed at maintaining the integrity of the legal profession by removing 107 fake advocates  from the Roll of Advocates in Delhi  between 2019 and October 2024. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the 'Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Programme' (FTI-TTP) at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi. This initiative, aimed at revolutionizing the travel experience, promises to make travel faster, easier, and more secure for Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders.


Details of the Programme


The FTI-TTP is a visionary initiative by the Central government, designed to streamline the immigration process for eligible travelers. Here’s a detailed look at how it works and its benefits:


Eligibility and Application Process:


1. Eligible Individuals: The programme is open to Indian nationals and OCI cardholders.

2. Application: Eligible individuals must apply online, submitting their biometrics (fingerprint and facial image) along with other required information.

3. Verification: Registration will be completed after necessary verifications and confirmation of eligibility. Applicants will need to pay a non-refundable processing fee upon submission.

4. Biometric Submission: Applicants will receive a message to schedule an appointment to provide their biometric details at a designated international airport in India or the nearest FRRO office.

5. Validity: The FTI registration is valid for a maximum of five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.

- Indian Nationals: Rs 2000

- Indian Nationals (Minor): Rs 1000

- OCI Cardholders: $100


Documentation Required:


- One passport size photograph in JPEG format.

- Scanned copies of the passport's first and last pages containing holder’s information.

- Proof of address in PDF format.

- OCI card for Indian nationals settled overseas.

Legal Proceedings Initiated Against Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Cognizance Taken by PMLA Court A Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in Ranchi has taken cognizance of a prosecution complaint filed by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) against Hemant Soren, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
