Bar Council of India Removes 107 Fake Advocates from  Delhi Roll to Uphold Legal Integrity The Bar Council of India (BCI) has taken decisive action in a sweeping initiative aimed at maintaining the integrity of the legal profession by removing 107 fake advocates  from the Roll of Advocates in Delhi  between 2019 and October 2024. This step comes as part of the BCI's rigorous verification process to ensure that only qualified, genuinely practising advocates remain in the profession, ultimately upholding public trust in the legal system. CM Vishnu Deo Sai Applauds DRG and BSF for Successful Operation


Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai praised the combined efforts of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel for their effective operation resulting in the elimination of 29 Naxalites in an encounter in Kanker district. He hailed the achievement as a significant milestone in the ongoing fight against insurgency.


Operation Targeted Naxal Disruption of Election Process


CM Sai highlighted the strategic significance of the operation, emphasizing that the Naxalites were attempting to disrupt the electoral process in the Bastar region ahead of the upcoming elections on April 19. The encounter, which took place close to Bastar and Kanker Lok Sabha constituencies, thwarted the insurgents' attempts to sabotage democratic proceedings.


Deputy CM Visits Injured Jawans, Commends Surgical Strike-like Operation


Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma visited the injured security personnel admitted to a hospital in Raipur. He lauded the precision and effectiveness of the operation, likening it to a surgical strike. Despite the injuries sustained by two jawans, Sharma reassured that they were stable and receiving appropriate medical care, underscoring the government's commitment to ensuring the well-being of its forces.


Police Uncover Cache of Weapons, Foil Naxal Violence Plans


Following the encounter, Kanker SP Indira Kalyan Elesela revealed that the security forces had received intelligence regarding the Naxals' intent to unleash violence ahead of the elections. The recovery of a substantial arsenal, including AK-47 rifles and ammunition, underscores the gravity of the threat posed by the insurgents. The successful operation not only neutralized the immediate threat but also dealt a significant blow to Naxal activities in the region.


Swift Police Action and Recovery Efforts


Detailing the sequence of events, the police reported an exchange of fire between Naxals and security forces in the Binagunda-Koragutta jungles. Following the encounter, an extensive search operation led to the discovery of the deceased Naxals and the confiscation of weapons. Despite the injuries sustained by the three jawans, their condition remains stable, reflecting the professionalism and preparedness of the security forces in handling such situations.
